“I was born and brought up in India near an air force base. As a child fascinated by all the jets, planes, and helicopters in the sky, I wanted to know how they work and what keeps them in the air. Everything I learned about them fueled my interest in aviation. Today, it’s my job to know how they work and what keeps them in the air!

“In 2009, I earned certification in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. Within two years, I had worked for two private aviation companies: first as a Continued Airworthiness Manager, then as an Aircraft Technician maintaining Cessnas. I moved to singapore in 2011 and attended Singapore Polytechnic and received a diploma in Aerospace Engineering. I also hold EASA B1.1 certification for Fokker 50/60 Aircraft fitted with PW125/127 engines.”

Initially, Ratan joined R&R Aero Services in Singapore as a Technical Sales Executive. R&R was a PAG customer. In 2013, Ratan joined Fokker Services Asia, also a PAG customer, as an Aircraft Technician, progressing to Process & Production Engineer.

Fortunately, in early 2017, PAG wanted to establish a location in Singapore to enhance support to Asia Pacific, in addition to the Brisbane, AU facility. “I was hired as Regional Sales Manager, tasked with opening the doors to PHP-Singapore and developing a customer base. Our primary operation is catering to the needs of customers in Asia ,” said Ratan.

In addition to the PHP-Singapore repair shop which specializes in Avionics, customers enjoy access to over 500 in-stock flight ready components stocked in Singapore, as well as access to PAG services and inventory worldwide.

Ratan continues, “Having a facility in in singapore enables us to support the customers throughout the Asia with parts being dispatched within and hour and sometime getting delivered on the same day if not next day. The Singapore facility acts as a hub for customers in Asia region  where they ship the parts to Singapore and take delivery from Singapore, reducing their spending on freight.”
