At the recent Airborne Public Safety Association (APSCON) Annual Convention held in Phoenix, Arizona, Teledyne FLIR Defense proudly announced the winners of the 30th Annual FLIR Vision Awards, recognizing excellence in airborne law enforcement operations.
The FLIR Vision Awards honor public safety aviation teams that have demonstrated exceptional use of thermal imaging systems to support mission-critical activities—ranging from search and rescue operations to suspect apprehension and life-saving interventions.
Awards are presented across four key categories, including the coveted FANG Award, which recognizes missions that involve a K-9 support team.
PAG-Supported Performance in the Sky
Of the seven award-winning agencies recognized, five (71%) operate aircraft powered by engines supported by Keystone Turbine Services (KTS), a division of Precision Aviation Group (PAG).
“It’s humbling to think—if we didn’t do our job, these pursuits might not have happened, and the bad guys could have gotten away, or worse.”
— Chuck Hurdleston, Vice President of Sales, PAG Engine Services – Coatesville
