Jon DeFina
President – Precision Display Repairs

A Visionary Leader in Avionics Display Repair
Jon DeFina is an accomplished entrepreneur and industry innovator with over 40 years of experience in engineering, sales, and business development. As President of Precision Display Repairs, a subsidiary of Precision Aviation Group (PAG), he leads the company’s efforts in avionics LCD repair, ensuring continued growth and technological advancement in the aviation industry. His expertise in display technology, electronics repair, and business strategy has been instrumental in establishing Precision Display Repairs as a leading provider of cockpit and in-flight entertainment display solutions.

Early Career and Technical Expertise
Jon’s career began in 1979 as a Field Engineer at Data General, where he developed hands-on expertise in troubleshooting and technical support. He advanced to Field Tech Support, assisting engineers across the company’s product lines. By 1981, he transitioned to Automated Test Equipment (ATE) programming at Singer Librascope, developing diagnostic software for the U.S. Army and Navy.

In 1983, he entered the business computing sector at Cambrian Systems, serving as an engineering liaison in disk drive technology development. His ability to merge technical expertise with business acumen led to a promotion to Sales Engineer, where he was responsible for over $10 million in annual revenue.

Building and Scaling Industry-Leading Businesses
Recognizing a critical gap in the laptop display repair market, Jon founded Incline Corporation in 1995, pioneering LCD repair solutions for major OEMs such as Toshiba, HP, and Dell. Under his leadership, Incline grew to $26 million in annual revenue, expanding to five global facilities with over 475 employees. Following a series of acquisitions, Jon stepped away in 2003 to pursue new ventures.

In 2005, he launched his second company, Momentum, assembling a team of key engineering and operational talent from Incline. Initially focusing on consumer display repair for brands like Fujitsu and Sony, the company pivoted to avionics LCD repair as the commercial market declined. By 2016, Momentum had secured FAA certification, becoming a trusted repair provider for military and commercial aviation displays, working with OEMs such as Thales and Panasonic.

Momentum’s Acquisition and the Future of Precision Display Repairs
Momentum’s success led to its 2019 acquisition by PAG, rebranding as Precision Display Repairs. Now part of PAG’s global network, the company continues to expand its capabilities and reach, offering high-quality avionics LCD repair services to OEMs, MROs, and operators worldwide.
Jon remains committed to driving innovation, enhancing repair processes, and strengthening industry partnerships. His leadership ensures that Precision Display Repairs continues to set the standard for excellence in avionics display repair.

Education and Industry Impact
With a degree in Computer Science and decades of experience across multiple engineering and business sectors, Jon has built and scaled multiple successful businesses. His leadership and strategic vision keep Precision Display Repairs at the forefront of avionics LCD repair, delivering reliable and cost-effective solutions to the aviation industry.
