Precision Aviation Controls (PAC) is an authorized FAA Repair Station and specializes in turbine engine accessories and controls.  PAC has been a Honeywell Authorized Warranty and Repair Station (AWARS) for Rolls-Royce Model 250 and Honeywell LTS101 accessories since 1999 and continues to provide superior engine controls and accessories services. Over the past 25 years, the facility continues to introduce new capabilities to ensure the best service is provided to our customers.  Most recently, expanded PT6 capabilities were added to better serve operators of many of the most popular aircraft from Beechcraft, Cessna, de Havilland, Sikorsky, and many other aircraft OEMs utilizing the PT6 engine. 

Originally constructed and occupied by Teledyne, Inc. in 1987, the 25,000 square foot facility is an industry leader in the support of GE-J85 engine accessory components.  The J85 engine powers a variety of military aircraft to include the F5, T38, A37, T2 and SAAB 105.  Our facilities span 26,000 square feet on 4.2 acres.  It is totally climate controlled. The work area includes environmentally controlled clean rooms, over 30 test benches, a machine shop, non-destructive inspection, ultra-sonic cleaning, and electronic test and repair.   

PAC is the latest addition to the Precision Aviation Group (PAG).  The top leadership of PAC, Iain Glendinning and Jim Robertson, look forward to continuing the tradition of providing excellent service.  Both are former executives of Sabreliner Corporation, and have a long history of excellence within the aviation MRO services industry. Their goal is to continue to provide customers and partners with the highest quality of products and support.

  • 1993
    • Precision Heliparts (PHP).Company is founded by Scott James in Atlanta, Ga., and enters a collaborative venture with Precision Avionics & Instruments (PAI)
  • 1995
    • PAI moves to share space with PHP in the building that is the current location of PAG headquarters near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
  • 1996
    • David Mast becomes President & CEO of PHP
  • 1997
    • PAI is sold to Dallas Airmotive/BBA and continues to have a close working relationship PHP and share the same address
  • 1999
    • PHP is named one of Inc. Magazine’s 500 Fastest Growing Companies in America
  • 2003
    • PHP obtains certification for US FAA repair station and enters MRO market
  • 2004
    • PHP acquires PAI  from Dallas Airmotive/BBA and the companies are reunited
    • Precision Aviation Group (PAG) is formed as the parent organization for a group of companies including PAI, PHP and PHP-C
  • 2007
    • PAG acquires Pegasus Aircraft Components of Vancouver and renames it Precision Accessories & Instruments – Canada (PAI-C)
  • 2010
    • PAG acquires Avcenter LLC of Dallas, Texas, a wheel–and-brake shop, and relocates it to PAG’s headquarters in Atlanta, Ga.
    • PAG completes a major expansion of Atlanta, Ga., headquarters to 65,000 square feet
  • 2011
    • PAI is awarded NDT certification by the FAA and adds non-destructive testing (NDT) to its unlimited accessory, avionics and instrument ratings
    • PAI changes its name from Precision Avionics & Instruments to Precision Accessories & Instruments
    • PAG acquires Gardner Aviation Specialist of Peachtree City, Ga. – now Precision Aviation Services (PAS) – an FAA repair station with expertise in avionics installation, upgrades and maintenance for fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft
    • PAG acquires Aero Technology Inc. of Long Beach, Calif. – now Precision Aero Technology (PAT) – a repair station founded in 1984 focused on commercial and military avionics
  • 2012
    • PAG increases the size of Atlanta facility to 80,000 square feet
    • PAG launches two new companies, both 5,000-square-foot sales and service facilities to serve booming rotary-wing markets: Lafayette, La. (PHP-LA) in the US and Precision Aviation Group Australia PTY LTD (PHP-AU) in Brisbane, Australia
    • PAC and Fulton Bellow, LLC have entered into a Repair and Distribution Agreement on J85 T2 Sensor and Bellows Assembly
  • 2013
    • PAG opens Precision Accessories and Instruments (PAI-AU) in Brisbane, Australia
    • PAG expands its footprint around the globe to nearly 200,000 square feet of sales and service facilities
    • PAG opens PAT sales office in Singapore
    • PAG opens a wheel-and-brake shop at the PAT facility in Long Beach, Calif.
    • Seven members of the Royal Jordanian Air Force visited PAC 2 weeks to witness repairs being performed on their GE-J85 engine components
    • PAC anounces that aerospace industry leader John Caldwell has joined PAC as the company’s Sales Manager
