PHP Louisiana Doubles Size of Facility to 10,000 Square Feet in First 18 Months

February 18, 2014

Lafayette, LA – February 18, 2014 – Lafayette based Precision Heliparts Louisiana (PHP-LA) has announced that it has added 5,000 square feet and doubled the size of its facilities located in the Gulf to serve the largest concentration of Helicopter operators in the world. This expansion comes just 18 months since PHP-LA’s parent company Precision Aviation Group announced it had opened the new facility outside of Lafayette in Broussard.

PHP-LA primarily caters to the rotary wing operator marketplace but is quickly growing its business in the fixed wing market

This addition of space increases the global footprint of PAG companies to nearly 200,000 square feet of shop and sales space. “PHP-LA primarily caters to the rotary wing operator marketplace but is quickly growing its business in the fixed wing market said PAG President, David Mast. Our growth strategy focuses on having sales and service facilities close to where our customers are located. The success of the PHP-LA facility validates how important it is to maintain this focus as we continue to grow.”

“Three factors have contributed to our growth in the Gulf Region,” said PHP-LA Director of Sales, Keith Stringer. “The increase of on-hand inventory needed to support our marketplace has grown requiring more warehouse space. PAG companies in total hold over $31 million of inventory at cost. This is a huge investment to support our customers. Secondly growth in our Starter Generator business, in combination with our recently expanded in-house capabilities for our 145 Repair Station into other accessories and airframe items, has meant the dedication of more shop space and the technical support to manage the work. Thirdly, additional space is required to house the inventories of our strategic customers and manufacturers. This allows us to provide logistical support for the deployment of assets in the field.”
